Fear in the night: a young man has a horrific nightmare wherein he commits a murder, but when he awakes covered with blood he is convinced it was not a dream. Detour: a world-weary musician is haplessly involved in an ambiguous death while thumbing his way to Los Angeles. Impact: a wealthy industrialist survives a murder attempt by his devious wife and her lover only to be accused of attempted murder. Half-dazed he stumbles into a moving van that takes him to idyllic Larkspur, Idaho, where newspaper stories of his "death" jog his memory.
